CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY
The purpose of this policy is to set out company expectations regarding a respectful workplace, honesty, integrity and overall business conduct.
Appropriate disciplinary measures, up to and including discharge, will be taken when an employee is deemed by the company to have engaged in any activity which is inconsistent with ordinary, reasonable and common-sense rules of conduct, or when an employee is deemed by the company to have breached any of the rules and regulations set forth below.
These rules are provided as a guideline and are not an exhaustive list of all conduct that may result in discipline.
Employees must not:
- engage in harassment, including abusive or unwelcome conduct that is based on a person’s ancestry, color, race, religion or creed, nationality, ethnic background or origin, age, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital or family status, source(s) of income, political beliefs, physical disabilities or mental disabilities.
- fight on company property, engage in horseplay or threaten, intimidate, coerce, injure or attempt to injure another employee.
- engage in insubordinate or insolent conduct or fail or refuse to do assigned work, refuse to follow supervisor’s instructions, or refuse to cooperate with supervisors or fellow employees.
- use or engage in abusive, insolent, defiant or threatening language or actions toward another employee.
- engage in theft or unauthorized possession or removal of property of any kind belonging to the company, its customers, or another employee.
- abuse, misuse, damage or deface company property, including the facility as a whole, machines, tools, equipment, materials or supplies, or the property of a customer or another employee.
